Inspired by the shapes and forms found in nature, I studied Glass Blowing and Watercolour painting before discovering that Clay Art was the vehicle that best suited the impressions of nature I wished to portray.
There are infinite ways to decorate the surface of clay, but I specialize in altering and adding to the forms while carving the surface of clay,
While producing functional pottery for Gift Galleries and Art Galleries locally, throughout Canada and the USA, time and experience has led me full circle and I am now experimenting with fusing glass and clay together. Oysters and rock pools of the West Coast give me my inspiration.
Beverly's work is in private collections across Canada and around the world.
