Isabel grew up in New Zealand where she developed an affinity for coastal and rural areas, which feature prominently in her painting themes. Using a limited palette to achieve harmony in her colourful paintings, Isabel is best known for her paintings of boats and barns, two themes she has been developing. She enjoys the interplay between the more structural designs and the organic shapes of water and land that surround them. Her first paintings were in watercolour, but more recently acrylic has been her choice of medium.
Isabel is a member of the Garibaldi Art Club in Maple Ridge and an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Fraser Valley Chapter of the FCA. She has recently joined the Fort Langley Artists Group.
