Born in Vancouver and lived in the lower mainland her whole life, Candice loved to draw as a young child and has been creating works of art ever since. Her subject matter mainly consists of portraits of people, although after the birth of her first child she was inspired to create art about babies and children.
After highschool she continued her studies in the graphics program at Kwantlen college, and after one year she decided to study towards a fine arts diploma because she wanted to explore different mediums. In the fine arts program at Kwantlen she took a printmaking class and discovered etching. It has been a medium that she loves and works well with. She currently owns a small printing press in her studio and mainly prints monotypes or etchings. She also creates conte drawings, oil paintings and collage. In 2005 she received a fine arts diploma. She has won 4 art awards (including Daddy print [right]), been accepted into many juried shows and has had her first solo show in March 2007. She has also enjoyed doing many portrait commissions throughout the years.
