Lori Standen
My
love affair with art began as a child. I created jewellery, tie-dyed
clothing, wrote poems and played in the garden. In school my artistic
skills developed a bit more, to include drawing, batik and pottery.
In my twenties, I studied dance, graduated from University and entered
the workforce. But my passions for art did not disappear.
Several years later I re-discovered my love of art and decided to learn
how to paint. I'm a firm believer in everyone's ability to learn a new
skill and so began my new journey. I've been painting since 2003 and
just love it! I love color and love to express it boldly in an abstract,
subtly -impressionistic or randomly- expressionistic. My journey of
discovery and creation continues...
I
hope you enjoy seeing some of my work posted here and in the FLAGstop
Gallery.
All
work shown is oil on canvas.
Lori
Standen also shows her work at the Little Cricket
Gallery, Fort Langley and Maple Ridge locations.
