
MARGUERITE WHELTON was born in Amsterdam the Netherlands and lived for many years in South Africa before settling in Canada. It was in South Africa that her artistic talent was put to use in creating advertising posters for display in the Johannesburg area. She resides in the lower mainland of British Columbia on a fifteen acre hobby farm.
Her earliest works were in oil and from there moved to acrylics. Ultimately however, water colour became her favourite medium. Marguerite enjoys the challenge of a vast variety of subjects and her paintings have sold in Canada and Britain. Her works have been displayed throughout the lower mainland. Marguerite has studied the egg tempura technique under the Russian
master, Vladislav Andrejev and water colour under Kiff Holland.
